David Dickinson Barrister
- LLB MA

David specialises in the defence of serious crime. Whatever your legal problem, he will work closely with you to develop the best strategy and solution to get you the best results.

That means talking about the strengths of both sides of the case, how other professionals such as experts or private investigators could be involved and how much it will cost. Whether your case requires an aggressive approach or damage control, David works hard and has a human touch.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, David completed a B.A in English literature and political science at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and later an M.A in European Cultural Studies at the University of Groningen, Netherlands.

Between 2004-2006, David attended Auckland University where he graduated with a degree in law. He started practice as a junior barrister at Shortland Chambers later working as a judge’s clerk at the Employment Court, a solicitor at a boutique employment law firm and the Public Defence Service. David joined the independent bar in 2013.

David is currently a member of the Auckland District Law Society’s criminal law committee and is a member of the New Zealand Law Society, New Zealand Bar Association and Criminal Bar Association.

David speaks fluent French.
